The “22^nd Jazz Poster Competition” organized by Izmir Foundation for Culture, Arts and Education (İKSEV) has been finalized. Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Graphic Design student Kenan Yiğit's trilogy was selected as the poster for the 32nd Izmir European Jazz Festival.

 

The selection committee consisting of Prof. Dr. Hakan Ertep, Cihangir Elmaskaya, Maksude Kılıç, Kutsal Lenger, Hüseyin Ekinciler, Okan Özgen and Ayşe Tatari also decided to exhibit the works of 27 students attending Narlıdere Science and Art Center, ranging in age from 8 to 13. Among these posters, the selection committee found the works of Alya Ada Nizamoğlu (11), Duru Aydın (9) and Zeynep Turan (13) worthy of the “Selection Committee Incentive Award”. The 27 posters of children will be exhibited together with other posters during the Festival.

 

308 posters from all over Turkey participated in the 22st Jazz Poster contest. 20 of these posters were disqualified because they did not comply with the rules of the specifications. Among the remaining posters, the Selection Committee found 32 posters worthy of exhibition, including the first selected triptych. The posters will be exhibited at the AASSM Alt Gallery during the 32nd Izmir European Jazz Festival.
