"Jazz Music in Cartoons" 

As part of the 32nd Izmir European Jazz Festival, we are organizing a free "Jazz Music in Cartoons" workshop for children. I am thinking of the workshop as a 2-hour event for children between the ages of 8-

13. The workshop, which is limited to a maximum of 30 participants, can be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 or Monday, March 10, 2025.

Interactive and game-oriented activities are planned in the Jazz Music in Cartoons Workshop. For example: - Guessing which cartoon the jazz music is in (Pink Panther) - Watching scenes from cartoons without sound (music) and finding which music would fit (various) - Watching cartoons with jazz music (Hey Arnold!, Tom and Jerry) - Examples of jazz music with animated video clips (Medeski, Martin & Wood - Where's The Music) - Jazz music with cartoons as the subject (Hiromi - Tom and Jerry Show) - Designing a cartoon (animation/anime) character that fits a piece of jazz music while listening to it (Herbie Hancock - Watermelon Man)
