22ND JAZZ POSTER COMPETITION
The “22nd Jazz Poster Competition” organized by the İzmir Culture, Arts and Education Foundation (İKSEV) concluded with the selection of student Kenan Yiğit’s trilogy. A student at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in the Graphic Design Department at the Faculty of Communication, Yiğit’s poster has been selected as the winner for the 22nd İzmir European Jazz Festival. The selection committee, comorised Prof. Dr. Hakan Ertep, Cihangir Elmaskaya, Maksude Kılıç, Kutsal Lenger, Hüseyin Ekinciler, Okan Özgen and Ayşe Tatari. It was also decided to exhibit the works of 27 students aged between 8 and 13 from Narlıdere Science and Art Center. The selection committee also awarded the works of Alya Ada Nizamoğlu (11), Duru Aydın (9) and Zeynep Turan (13) with a special “Selectoral Committee Incentive Award”. The children’s 27 posters will be exhibited with other posters during the festival.
308 posters from all over Turkey participated in the 22nd Jazz Poster Competition. 20 of these posters were disqualified because for not complying with the rules of specification. 32 posters, including the trilogy that was selected first, were found worthy of exhibition, and these will be on display in the AASSM Lower Gallery during the Jazz Festival.
