The results are in for the “21st Jazz Poster Competition” organised by Izmir Foundation For Culture, Artsand Education (IKSEV). The poster designed by Berke Özaşık, a Graphic Design student at Marmara University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, has been selected as the poster for Izmir’s 31st European Jazz Festival.
The jury comprised Prof. Dr. Hakan Ertep, Cihangir Elmaskaya, Maksude Kılıç, Kutsal Lenger, Hüseyin Ekinciler, Okan Özgen and Ayşe Tatari, and a decision was made to also exhibit the works of 11 students ranging in age from 8 to 13 from the Narlıdere Science and Art Centre. Among these posters, the jury found the works of Tutku Alparslan (10), Ayaz Afşar (13) and Can Bahıt (8) to be worthy of a “Jury Incentive Award”.
